The Dad was Gene and he was about 6’5″ and his wife, Jean, was about 5’1″. We called them Big Gene and Little Jean. They had a huge house and they filled it with 10 kids! They were our best friends until we moved away from Ohio when I was 10. The basement of the Dilly home was what we called a “Rumpus Room” back in the day. This was like a family room but fancier! In the right hand corner, there was a pretty large wet bar where Big Gene and my dad would mix up cocktails for the grown ups. One of my mom and Little Jean’s top requests from Big Gene and my dad was a Raspberry Cosmopolitan Martini Recipe.
