How To Make A No Sew Pet Blanket In An Hour

This post contains affiliate links and/or images. What is your favorite season? Mine is definitely fall! We live in the south, so we don’t get terribly cold weather. It does get chilly enough for a light jacket or sweater.

In cool weather, I love to warm up with a soft blanket and so do my cats! Here is how to make a no sew pet blanket in an hour for your furry friend!

We Get Fickle Weather In The South

But the weather is fickle, so it changes from one day to the next. My daughter was leaving for school and had on a sleeveless dress as the weather was warmer the day before. Today, it was 15 degrees cooler and she had to run in and get a sweater!

Our Two Furry Friends

Do you have a furry friend? We do! Our two cats, Meep and Hazel are precious! Meep is the smaller of the two and a bit feisty.

If my husband won’t pet her when he gets home, she will “slap” him with her paw! Hazel is the bigger girl and is more chill.

Pets Get Cold Too!

She lays on my lap while I work. She just purrs as I type. They are my heart! I forget they can get chilly when the weather is colder.

This year, I wanted to make them something to keep them warm. I decided to show you how to make a no sew pet blanket in an hour! It is crazy easy!

How To Make A No Sew Pet Blanket

A Pet Food We Trust

As much as I care about how comfortable my girls are, I care about the food they eat as well. I want them to have food that is as delicious as it is nutritional. We love pet products from Purina® because it is a brand I trust.

They LOVE the wet and dry Purina® Muse® food from my local Petco. I brought a bag of the Purina Muse Charmed with Chicken dry food home. Before I could open the bag, they were circling it, trying to get into it!

A Pet Store We Trust

Have you shopped at Petco? We LOVE them! They always have what we need at great prices! We are fortunate to have one right around the corner!

And if I don’t want to get out, I can order online. If you have an item you regularly use, like the girls favorite Purina Muse, you can have it shipped. If you choose repeat delivery, you get free shipping!

A Friendly Staff Too!

I enjoy the family feeling I get when I shop with Petco. The staff is friendly and are so accommodating. When we couldn’t find something for Caitlin’s hamster, we asked one of the employees for help.

Instead of just pointing to the item, she actually walked us over to where it was. How great, right? It is always a treat to shop with Petco, because we get the prices we want and the service we deserve!

And A Food Pets Love

They are crazy about the Natural Chicken, Egg & Pumpkin Recipe, which is perfect for fall, right?!I love the Purina Muse Charmed with Chicken dry food because of it’s high-quality ingredients.

I was sold when I learned real chicken is the #1 ingredient. It is a healthy and nutritious food that tastes good too. It is just one of the many ways I can show my love for my beautiful girls.

A Natural Food For Our Cats

The girls also love the Purina Muse Masterpieces wet food. You can choose from recipes like Natural Arctic Char, Natural Chicken, Natural Duck, Natural Pheasant, Natural Quail, and Natural Tuna.

They are all made with real fish or poultry. Isn’t that fantastic? As with the dry food, they are grain free and there is no corn, no soy or artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.

The Best Of Both Worlds

In my opinion, Purina Muse offers the best of both worlds with their dry and wet foods. They never compromise on natural credentials, and they guarantee it’s unrivaled deliciousness. Feeding your cat a balance of wet and dry food is important for your cats oral and digestive health.

I feed Meep and Hazel the Purina Muse wet food in the morning and the and dry food in the evening. My vet suggested this schedule and I feel it helps keep them healthy and happy.

A Risk-Free Guarantee

If you want to try the Purina Muse foods but aren’t sure your cat will love them, I have great news! Purina Muse is so confident that your cat will love their Muse food they offer a Clean Plate Guarantee.

Take Muse for a taste drive, risk-free, with the Clean Plate™ Guarantee. If your cat says no, they’ll return your dough! How great is that?!

What you will need for your No Sew Pet Blanket:

  • 2 yards of fleece fabric. I bought two pieces of coordinating fabric.
  • Sewing scissors, or rotary cutter
  • Cutting mat or measuring tape
  • Polyester fiberfill material (optional)

Order what you need to make your blanket from Amazon by clicking the images below:

Step One: Measure and cut fabric to fit your pet’s bed.

Step Two: Lay both pieces of fabric on top of each other. Cut a 3” x 3” square out of each corner of the fabric.

Step Three: Make 3” long cuts along the edges of the fabric. The strips should be about an inch wide. Go around the edges of the fabric until all four sides are cut.

Step Four: Tie a pair of strips that are on top of each other into a double knot. If you are going to fill your blanket with the polyfill, only tie strips on 3 sides. On the 4th side, tie strips about halfway, leaving room to place the polyfill inside the blanket. If you are not filling the blanket, tie off all four sides.

Step Five: Place your blanket in your pet’s bed or in their favorite sleeping spot. It will keep them warm and cozy in this chilly fall and cold winter weather!

Do you have a furry friend who would love Purina Muse and this soft, warm no sew pet blanket? Please tell me about them!

Your cats are so sweet! I have a tortie named Chloe and she’s obsessed with all things fleece. We have fleece throws I’ve made her (and for family members) and she loves nothing more than to snuggle in with them. (She’s also a big fan of Purina Muse!)

We have 5 cats – and one of them is a blanket kitty. She is 8 years old. If I want her attention, I just throw a blanket on my lap and she’s as happy as a clam. I haven’t heard of Muse, but I like that it’s natural ingredients. I’ll have to check that out. One of my cats has a prescription dry food, but he can eat whatever canned food he likes – and I prefer to keep it natrual
