How To Keep Your Dog Healthy And Happy

March 8, 2017 by Kelly 47 Comments

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine. Dogs have become men’s (and women’s!) best friend for many reasons. They’re cuddly, friendly and loyal. Since the beginning of time, Fido has provided us with the type of relationship we’ve always yearned for. Are you already a proud owner of a pooch? Looking to adopt one of your very own? Today, I’ve put together four quick tips on how to keep your dog healthy and happy.

Do you have a dog at home? We have Elvis and Ringo and they are the loves of our lives! Here are our tips on How To Keep Your Dog Healthy And Happy #ad #milkbone #nationaldogbiscuitday

Four Ways to Keep Your Dog Healthy

  1. Dog Run: Dogs have lots of energy. It’s important that you offer your canine friend the amount of exercise that’s needed for his body type and weight. Also, be aware of your dog’s breed. Depending on their body structure, some breeds need to be more careful with how much they play and run.
  2. H20 For Your Pooch: Just like us, dogs need to stay hydrated. Make sure you’re keeping up with your pup’s much-needed water intake by filling his bowl with clean, fresh H20.
  3. Groomed And Clean: Regular grooming can help prevent fur knots, ticks, fleas and dry patches. Grooming is especially important for dogs with longer hair, so make sure you’re giving your furry friend the doggy spa-day he/she deserves!
  4. Treats, Treats And More Treats: Many owners like using treats to reward or provide happiness for their pooch. Remember that when giving a treat, allow your dog to sniff, stare and then eat! He/she will be appreciative and aware of what you have given him/her.

Milk Bone Farmer’s Medley Biscuits

As a pet owner, I’m a firm believer that every family member deserves a treat – including our fur babies. Whenever I’m shopping around for treats, the first thing I look at is the ingredients list. Milk Bone Farmer’s Medley Biscuits are made with real USA-sourced meat. They do not have any fillers, meaning you won’t find a trace of corn, artificial flavors or preservatives in them. This is a huge plus for any dog-owner: you know that you’ll be providing the best quality for your loved one.

I love this post. My dogs get treats when they do a good job on their training or going potty. I try not to give them too many, though. I don’t want them to get fat!

This is a great post. So many people just buy whatever cheapo dog treats are out there. Dog treats should be just as high a quality as dog food.

Can I just come over and cuddle with your pups? They are so cute! And I agree with all your tips. It was so nice when my son was old enough to play more with the dogs and run around with them. We always took them on walks, but it’s so different when they have a child with unlimited energy to run with

My dog is a pomeranian-chihuahua, and his favorite thing to do is sleep and eat, so i make sure I take him on walks. He will only walk if there are small animals around or its a new place, so we go on lots of car trips to parks. We also make him swim because he has a knee issue the rescue said my eventually get worse, and swimming helps. I also monitor how much people food my fiance gives him. This little guy would never stop eating if he could.
