Grandmothers Are The Heart Of The Family
My grandmother was more like a second mom to me. She taught me how to wear make-up, she bought me my first bra and she let me cry on her shoulder when I had my first heartbreak.
She had a small coop with a few chickens and when we were visiting, my sister and I were allowed to gather the eggs.
Deviled Egg Macaroni Pasta Salad Recipe
One of my favorite snacks would be anything with hard-boiled eggs. We would eat them plain or Gram would make her delicious deviled eggs.
My dad loved her pasta salad recipes, which were a must have at every picnic, BBQ or even Sunday dinner.
A Dish To Be Passed Down Through Generations
This is a recipe that I have passed down to my oldest daughter. This recipe is super easy to make and it travels well. This is a great side dish to take to a church potluck or to casual party.
We will make a batch with some fried chicken and take it to a new family in the neighborhood or a family with a new baby.
Healthy Can Still Be Delicious
If you are looking for a healthier side dish, you can adapt this recipe. All you need to do is use a lower fat or fat-free mayonnaise. You can also use a whole wheat or a gluten-free pasta.
Because you get the flavors of the eggs, the mustard, the relish and the onion, you cannot tell the difference with the lower fat mayonnaise.

this reminds me of home. my granny used to make deviled eggs all the time. Thanks for sharing.
Oh wow, what a combination! I need to make this for a BBQ this weekend!
My husband and I made some new friends, and we’ve been getting together pretty regularly. But I’ve noticed something…they won’t eat anything store bought. We had a BBQ and I bought pre-made salads to save time. Nope, didn’t touch them. But when I make them from scratch, they gobble them up. This I’m sure they’d be licking the bowl!
This is something I can see my son tearing into. Deviled eggs are one of his favorite foods, he can eat about 20 if you let him. This is just another way for him to get them into his face.
This looks delicious! I know my family would love this…..I think I will make it for our picnic next weekend.
This looks so yummy! Perfect for a picnic!
Oh holy mother of sin, that looks amazing. I’m gonna have to make some!
I have a weakness for macaroni salad and including eggs just makes me even more tempted to eat the entire bowl. I also love that you said smoked paprika instead of the standard type since there really is a huge difference!
This looks and sounds yummy. My favorite side is pasta salad or baked beans.
Yum, I was just looking for a recipe like this! Pinning it now!
The grandkids love deviled eggs. This macaroni would be a hit also.

Comments from anyone who has actually made this would be nice.
I completely agree. I don’t make anything unless there are tried and true reviews, doesn’t matter how good it may look. I’d love to hear some actual reviews on this.
This is a great way to use up eggs and get a great salad at the same time. I am making this for a light dinner tonight. Thanks so much !
OMG!!! I just made this up and I am posting the review per requests. It is dynamite!! I didn’t change one single thing. Don’t you just hate when people say they made something and then changed like 4 things in it. DO NOT change anything. This is killer! I made a half batch for my husband and I, and I am already wishing I had made the full one. He tasted it and loved it. I guarantee there won’t be any left over.
Thank you so much for your review! You convince me to do it tomorrow 🙂 (I was searching for someone who made it)
Good recipe in theory but had an odd taste with all the elements combined. Not sure if it needs to be seasoned differently or what. I ate it but I wouldn’t personally make it again. Could just be my own personal taste preferences though! Fun recipe to try.
This sounds like something I will try to make. I think my husband will like it. More than that, I love the story with your Grandmother. I was the youngest grandchild on both sides of the family. I did not get those kind of memories. By that time older sisters and cousins “tolerated” me and let me hang with them.
Your recipe looks fantastic! My sisters are going to go nuts for this side dish. They both love deviled eggs as well as macaroni. I love the fact that all of your food ideas are great the whole year round, not relegated to one particular day.

How far in advance can you make this for a party?
Great flavors in this. I have a BBQ I’ll be taking this to. Thanks.
I’ll be making this next week. Thanks for the recipe.
I made this for a BBQ and it was a big hit. Thanks.
Will be making this again. Very tasty.
Holy cow, this sounds amazing! My hubby will love this! I can’t wait to make it for him.
OK, I’ve had a ‘you MUST bring this next time’. It really is a big hit.
This looks delicious. I love deviled eggs and pasta salad. My husband and I switched to Hellmann’s lite mayo and we think it’s better than regular mayo.
I so love this recipe that I make it year round. Not just in the summer. I use Hellmann’s light mayo. It is delicious and always a big hit when I serve it to guests. Thanks for another recipe for my recipe book.
Summer is coming and I’ll be making this for cookouts.
This sure looks good, and a different take on a picnic favorite. I’d love to try it!
I might add some dill relish as well as the sweet. Otherwise it sounds really good!
For those looking for feedback from people who have actually tried this recipe, not just commenting that they will try it, I’ve made this exactally as written and it’s absolutely amazing! I highly recommend! I’ve also made it with slight changes because of what we had on hand and due to personal preference. That was also really good. I always try AS WRITTEN first, then adjust to taste or as necessary with what I have. Adaptations: used sweet onion, omitted peppers, used dijon mustard, used salad cubes (instead of relish), added 2 Tbs gherkin pickle brine & 1 tsp vinegar. As I said, excellent as written, forgiving/adaptable to what’s in your fridge/pantry if necessary. Thanks for the wonderful recipe, Kelly!
It looks so good. I would love to try this. What a great recipe.
This looks so yummy! I’ve never incorporated egg salad with pasta. Great idea. It looks like a crowd pleaser for a potluck. I’m always looking for yummy and easy-t0-make side dishes to bring to a party. This is great.
I don’t know how I randomly came across this but holy yum. Incorporating deviled egg with pasta makes a great idea I think. It makes me think of my Nana. She would of loved this. Plus deviled eggs are a favorite for sure!
Yesterday was summer-like with 75 degrees. Today is winter-like with snow flurries and 34 degrees. Want it to be warmer so I can fix this salad again.
Tried this last summer for the fist time and it was a huge hit! Everyone who tried it wanted the recipe! I made it exactly as the recipe called for!making it today for a birthday party tomorrow! Thank you for sharing the recipe?
Now that it is officially summer I’ll be making this salad again. It has such good flavors in it.
