No, I’m not very good at it; great cook, not a baker. So when looking for a recipe for something fun to make for the rapidly approaching Easter holiday, this Easy Easter Bark Recipe is decadent and requires only four ingredients, so it seemed right up my alley and I decided to try it. For another sweet Easter treat, try these cute chocolate covered strawberry carrots.
This is an incredibly easy, no bake recipe that took mere minutes to prepare. As a side note, while the ingredients are included for the recipe, it is very adaptable to whatever you may want to try as alternatives. I found this Easy Easter Bark Recipe so easy that one could make it on Easter Sunday, although I would not recommend waiting until then.
Ok, so much like a kid at Christmas, I could not wait for the finished product so I could test my first attempt at making one of my historically favorite holiday treats, Bark. I kept checking the refrigerator to see if it was finished, and after only 30 minutes, I was able to take it out and break it apart; total time, approximately 40 minutes and I had a beautiful basket filler that works on its own or in conjunction with other fun treats.
Also, it deserves noting that not only was this the first time I made Easter candy, it was also the first time that I used (and heard of) a silicone baking mat that I used on top of my Cake Boss Deluxe Nonstick Bakeware 10-Inch by 15-Inch Cookie Pan with Drop Zones, Gray with Red Silicone Grips, which you can find on Amazon for just $8.97.
The silicone baking mat is from Pickles and Tomatoes, and is also available on Amazon.com for under $10 for two. The hardened candy peeled off of the mat with great ease and cleanup consisted of merely rinsing off the mat with warm water; I was in awe and questioned why I had not ever heard of these (maybe because I do not bake much more than boxed cakes and premade cookie mixes?) All in all, I rate this recipe as extremely easy and incredibly rewarding!
