All opinions are mine alone. #WetSkinMoisturizer #CollectiveBias I have had dry skin and have been prone to chapped lips for as long as I can remember. And, if I am washing my hands a lot, then it gets even worse! I am from Ohio, so with those cold winters, it could get super bad.
When we moved to Georgia and then Tennessee, it got slightly better, but not by much. I have tried just about every trick in the book to get my skin to feel better but whatever I have tried didn’t last very long. I always carry chap stick and a small lotion with me wherever I go to avoid that dry, chapped skin and lips.
And then I found a miracle in the form of Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer! This little gem has transformed not only how my skin looks and feels, but my bath routine as well! Who doesn’t want gorgeous skin that is hydrated, soft and glowing? This new and unique moisturizing system from Jergens has been what I have been looking for to get rid of this dry, itchy and irritated skin from these cold winter temps and wind.
I get my Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer from my local Walmart. You can choose from 3 fantastic scents; Green Tea Oil, Coconut Oil (my favorite) and Monoi Oil. I love that these moisturizers from Jergens absorb 2 times faster and can keep my skin feeling amazing for 24 hours! What is cool is I can use it in the shower, which cuts down on the time I spend on my skin care routine. It locks in the moisture on my wet skin and I don’t even rinse it off! Crazy, right?!
You are going to love how easy the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer is to use, how wonderful your skin feels and how great it smells! Even my husband noticed and gave me a compliment! All you do is pat dry after you apply the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer and you are good to go! One of my favorite things to do at the end of a long day is take a nice warm bath. What makes a bath more fun is if I use a favorite bath bomb (or you may call them bath fizzies.) I love how the bath water bubbles up when I drop one in and how yummy the bath smells!
Because I use the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer Coconut Oil in my bath bombs, I get the benefits of the formula in one of my favorite DIY Oatmeal Lavender Bath Bombs ! They are so easy to make and they just make bath time more fun! All you need is your rubber ducky and you can let our your inner child in that bathtub!
What You Will Need:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup Epsom salts (I found scented salts at Walmart)
- 1/4 oatmeal (I give mine a few pulses in the food processor. It makes it easier to mold.)
- 4 tablespoons cream of tartar
- 2-1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer, Coconut
- 2 teaspoons lavender essential oil
- Blue and red food coloring
- 3/4 tablespoon water
- Silicone mold
Step 1: In a medium size bowl, mix together all your dry ingredients.
Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together all your wet ingredients. Because I am using coconut oil for these Oatmeal Lavender Bath Bombs , I needed to heat it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, or until it becomes liquid.
Step 3: Slowly combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients in the larger bowl. If mixture starts foaming, slow down! You are adding the wet ingredients too quickly. Mix together until mixture is crumbly. Test the consistency of the mixture by forming a small ball in your hands. If it will not form, add a bit more water until it does.
Step 4: Scoop mixture into your molds. Be sure to pack the mixture into each mold very tightly. It should be nice and compact. Allow to set for 2 hours.
Step 5: To release the Oatmeal Lavender Bath Bombs , just pop them gently from the mold. If mold cracks, just gently form it back together. Allow to dry completely (6-8 hours) before packaging. I put mine in a mason jar with a ribbon. I always make extra so I can keep one and share one!
If your bath bombs do not form overnight, do not despair! Part of mine didn’t, so I decided if my bath bombs bombed, I would make it into a wonderful Oatmeal Lavender bath soak instead! Either way, you are getting a real bath time treat! To get my skin to be it’s softest, I just apply the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer. You are going to be so happy with how your skin feels with this one-two winning punch!!
