Spooky Halloween Candy Bark

Now that we have passed the October 1st mark, the kids told me I could make all the Halloween goodies I wanted. You see, I made the horrifying mistake of posting my Halloween Chocolate Dipped Caramel Popcorn Balls a few weeks ago and it freaked Henry out. One of the aspects of his Asperger’s Syndrome is he follows the rules to a “T”. This apparently means you cannot post about Halloween food until it is October! So, now that we are at the first day of October, I was told I could make my Easy Peasy Spooky Halloween Candy Bark.

This super simple recipe is a huge crowd pleaser. I make it for just about every holiday. I made my Easter Candy Bark and Caitlin’s Robotics group asked me to make it twice after the first batch went to school with her. Yep, it is that tasty and that addictive! And I am happy to oblige because making the Halloween Candy Bark is so dang easy and won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

I prefer to use white chocolate for the Halloween Candy Bark, but the kids like it when I mix it up and use milk chocolate form tie to time. Because I wanted this Halloween candy bark to have a Halloween color, it was easier to add food coloring to the white chocolate. Sometimes I will add M&M’s and sometimes I will do Reese’s pieces. It just all depends on what is available at the local grocery stores.

For this Halloween Candy Bark, I couldn’t find any small Reese’s Pieces or the right color of M&’s. Because I am a sprinkles hoarder (I have 8 jars), I am guaranteed to have the right sprinkles or candies to add. The main idea is to just have fun because it will be a hit with the kids no matter what you put in the recipe!
