I am a lazy, lazy girl and when I can find a way to cut corners, I jump on it. I have a love/hate relationship with cleaning my house. I love the way I feel when my house is all nice and clean, but my back hates me for it. I have a back injury that loves to rear it’s ugly head whenever the mood strikes it. This happens almost every time I clean my house. In an effort to not look like I live with Pigpen from Peanuts, I have gleaned a few of these cleaning hacks I cannot live without. You are welcome!

Cleaning Hacks To Simplify Your Life

cleaning hacks to make your life easier

Lint Roller: Use a lint roller to get that dust (and pet hair) off those lampshades.

Furniture Polish: Don’t waste your money on stainless steel cleaners. Use furniture polish instead.

Blenders: Don’t put your blender into the dishwasher after you make that smoothie. Just add some warm water and soap and hit the “on” button. Rinse, dry and put away.

Coffee Maker: Make cleaning the coffee maker easier by running water and vinegar through the brew cycle.

Baking Soda: I use baking soda for a lot of cleaning projects. I put it on the sofa and then vacuum it to freshen it or on oil stains. I put it in the toilet with lemon juice (science experiment bonus) and to lift ink stains from the carpet, pour baking soda and vinegar and blot (you are very welcome.)

Floors: When it comes to cleaning the hardwood and laminate floors in the house, I work smarter, not harder. I focus on the high traffic areas and I use my lightweight and efficient Bona Mop.
