Do you want your kids out of the kitchen while you prepare your big feast? Do you long to to free them of their boredom while adults chat and watch football? Here are my suggestions on what kids can do during Thanksgiving:

Kids Table Turned Crafts Table: Imagine this: everyone’s placed down their cutlery, leaned back on their chairs and are ready to head to the living room for a Sunday-night football viewing. Where does that leave the little ones? Well, why not set up their kids dining table to be a crafts/activity table? Clear out the dishes and equip them with some art supplies. Give them the challenge to create a few Christmas crafts (like ornaments and decorations). They’ll love getting creative and will surely appreciate contributing to holiday preparations!
Watch A Movie: There are so many fun, holiday movies that are perfect to watch during this time of the year. Our family enjoys re-watching the classics like Elf and Miracle on 34th Street. Keep the kids occupied after Thanksgiving dinner by popping in a movie of their choice!
Set Up A Scavenger Hunt: Scavenger hunts can keep kids busy for hours! You can set up your place before all of the guests arrive. That way, you can set the kids off for their challenge once they’re done eating dinner.
Outside Play: If the weather allows it, send the kiddos to the backyard for some good, old outdoor fun. Rake a pile of leaves and let them enjoy all of the beauty that the autumn season had to offer. They’ll just love having free time to run around, being active and letting off all that energy!
Make It A Game Night: Board games can offer hours of fun and entertainment. We often hold family game nights in my household, so I figured, why not do the same for Thanksgiving dinner?
