Before the wildly popular bath bomb trend came around, I was more of a hot shower kind of woman. I would grab a shower and go, reserving soaks in the tub for the kids. But, I couldn’t resist trying one and I have never looked back.

Realizing I was developing a habit, I wanted to learn how to make my own bath bombs to save money and control the products that I was soaking in.

This is one really cute way to end the struggle about bath time. It is hard to resist wanting to hop into a warm and colorful bath when one of these bath bombs are awaiting you!

You can fragrance this donut bath bomb recipe with the essential oils of your choice, and feel free to experiment with the colors if you wish! The soap icing on the top is my favorite part; it makes it look realistic and so much fun!

Ingredients:

1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup SLSA (Sodium Laurel Sulfoacetate)
1/4 cup cream of tartar
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons kaolin clay
1/4 cup coconut oil
2 tablespoons rubbing alcohol
Cupcake soap scent
Pink mica powder
Spray bottle of rubbing alcohol
1/4 pound goats milk soap
Rainbow nonpareils or sprinkles
1 large mixing bowl
Silicone or metal donut mold

Instructions

Steps 1-6: Add dry ingredients to a large bowl.

Step 6: Sift or whisk dry ingredients.

Steps 7-8: In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt coconut oil in the microwave for 25-30 seconds. Add to dry mixture.

Step 9: Add cupcake scent

Step 10: Add mica powder

Step 11: Whisk liquid and mica into dry mixture.

Step 12: Spray rubbing alcohol a bit at a time and incorporate into dry mixture using your hands. Break down any
clumps.

Avoid Dry Bath Bombs

Step 13: You will know when the mixture is perfect when it feels like wet sand and you can press the mixture together in your hands and it stays together.

**Please note** You may need to use your spray bottle of rubbing alcohol to spritz your mixture if it gets too dry as you are adding it to your mold. Give a few spritzes and mix together until it has that wet sand feel again.
