How To Have The Skin of Your 20’s In Your 50’s

There were six kids, so it was always crazy in my house. One of my favorite times of the year was Christmas.

There is something about celebrating that special holiday with lots of kids. There was always a huge live tree, lots of festive decorations, and wrapped boxes stacked a mile high. One year, there was so much paper and ribbons piled up on the floor, we lost my little sister in it! Now that I am a mom, I see why my parents went all out at Christmas. I love everything about my favorite holiday! I love cooking, baking, hosting parties and of course, the shopping for gifts! I tend to go overboard and the kids love it!

Each year, the kids choose a roll of paper specifically for them. This saves me from buying tags and it is easy for the kids to spot their gifts right away. Last year we had 104 gifts, some small and some big. I think it was a Hutchinson family record! After eating our traditional Christmas Breakfast Casserole, the kids went crazy opening gifts. I am not sure, but we may have lost my little sister in the paper again!

While some things have not changed over the holidays, other things have. When I was in my 30’s, I was able to wash my face before I went to bed and when I got up. I wore a bit of make up and was ready to go from one holiday party to the next. Now that I am over 50, my skin has changed, so my beauty routine has as well. I still want to put my best face forward, so I have added products to my cosmetic bag I didn’t use when I was younger.

Now I use sunscreen every time I go outside, moisturize and use L’Oréal Age Perfect Rosy Tone Moisturizer. Can I tell you how much I love this product? It has been such a great fit for my lifestyle. Because I am so busy, especially during the holiday season, I don’t have a ton of time to get my “face” on. Because the L’Oréal Age Perfect gives my skin a healthy blush, I can skip using my powdered rouge. Even though I have had to add a few steps to my skincare routine, I am not spending much more time with it. I love that!

By incorporating the L’Oréal Age Perfect Rosy Tone Moisturizer into my new beauty routine, I have discovered how to have the skin of your 20’s when you are in your 50’s! It is such a treat to have a skincare product that helps me be a better version of who I already am! My skin has a gorgeous rosy glow and it leaves a velvety finish on my skin! My skin looks refreshed, even if I didn’t get as much beauty sleep the night before! I have two daughters who care about their skin as much as their mom does. I can guarantee you they are each getting some L’Oréal Age Perfect in their stockings this year! Be sure to follow L’Oréal on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

How has your beauty and skincare routines changed over the years? I would love to hear about it in the comments below!

I absolutely hated when my skin changed. It felt like I had just gotten into a routine and found what worked when age changed it up on me.

I think I saw a commercial for this on TV, their ambassador is Helen Mirren right? L”Oreal makes some great products, I haven’t tried this one yet, but I can’t stress the importance of washing makeup completely before bed, it really builds up if you do not take it off which is bad for the pores.

I have tried L’Oréal Age Perfect Rosy Tone Moisturizer and it is very good. As we get older, we all need help.
