The Mad Scientist Is A Fun Halloween Cocktail

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are 100% mine. I grew up in a big, noisy household. There were 6 kids and my mom and dad. To say life was never boring would be an understatement! Every Halloween, mom had a huge party. This was a time we all helped mom make our house the scariest on the block. My three older brothers were in charge of the decorations and music. They recorded creepy sounds like a creaking door and a mad scientist laughing. They used fake blood, plastic spiders and bats. They also used cheesecloth for spiderwebs, bloody cloths and ghosts.

The Mad Scientist is a fun Halloween cocktail recipe that is as visually stunning as it is tasty! It is the perfect Halloween party cocktail idea.

While my brothers were busy making our house look like the most haunted on the block, mom was busy in the kitchen. My sister and I would help mom create “lady finger” sandwiches, mummy dogs and bloody brain dip. For drinks, we would have punch for the kids and a signature cocktail for the adults. Mom came up with a new adult beverage every year. Our guests said she created drinks that were always better than the year before! I knew when I grew up, I wanted to have amazing Halloween parties just like my mom.

Until I threw my first Halloween party, I had no idea what big shoes mom had to fill. It takes a lot to pull off a haunted house for Halloween! Because the kids don’t go out trick-or-treating, they are there to help. They hand out candy and help me in the kitchen, keeping the food stocked and the punch bowl full. While the kids and I are busy with out tasks, my husband plays bartender. This year, we decided to have a lot of fun with our Halloween cocktail. We created The Mad Scientist. Another great cocktail, any time of the year, is my Pomegranate Martini!

The Mad Scientist 5

Not only is the The Mad Scientist visually appealing, it is delicious too! It puts together two of my favorite flavors; orange and black raspberry. When I was a bartender, I used these two tasty liqueurs in many a shot! So, when I was trying to come up with a fun drink for this year’s Halloween party, it made sense to put them together. After that, I looked in the fridge for inspiration. We had some lemon lime soda and some cranberry juice. BAM!! We had this year’s Halloween cocktail!
