Homemade Margarita Lime Essential Oil Body Scrub

One thing we did early on was remove as many chemicals from the house as possible. This meant making a lot of my own cleaning products. Along the way, I began to learn to make my own beauty products as well.
Homemade Beauty Products
There is no doubt you save a ton of money when you make your own beauty products. You also get to enjoy experimenting with different ingredients. I love to make body scrubs using essential oils.
Not only does your skin feel great, but it smells wonderful. Also, lots of essential oils have fantastic properties that benefit you! Caitlin and I had so much fun making this Homemade Margarita Lime Essential Oil Body Scrub!
Exfoliate That Skin Ladies!
I thought with spring around the corner, it was a great time to make a salt scrub. I love how it exfoliates my skin so well. When you use this Homemade Margarita Lime Essential Oil Body Scrub in the tub or shower, the warm water brings the essential oils to life.
The whole bathroom smells of lime! It is absolutely delicious. Be sure to make several batches so you have some to keep and some to give away! Enjoy one of my Sweet and Spicy Top Shelf Margaritas while you make this!
Homemade Margarita Lime Essential Oil Body Scrub Ingredients:
- ½ cup of salt
- ½ cup of coconut Oil
- 1 teaspoon Lime Juice
- 5-10 drops lime essential oil
- 1 tablespoon non-alcoholic Margarita sour mix
- 1 tablespoon tequila (optional)
- Zest of 1 Lime
- 2-4 drops green soap colorant

Step 1: In a large bowl, add salt
Step 2: Place the coconut oil in the microwave until melted. Add coconut oil to salt and mix together until a thick paste is formed.
Step 3: Add the lime juice
Step 4: Add lime essential oil
Step 5: Add the sour mix
Step 6: Add tequila if desired
Step 7: Add lime zest
Step 8: Add coloring. Stir until mixture is well blended and fluffy.
Step 9: Store in an air-tight glass jar in the refrigerator until ready to use.

I have made bathbombs for my grandkids to use. I only use ingredients safe for their skin.
Yes! I make my own all-purpose cleaner with Alcohol and vinegar. I also make an insect spray with peppermint oil, vinegar and water.

I make my own all purpose cleaner with equal parts vinegar, water, rubbing alcohol, and a couple drops of dish soap. It works great and is so much safer than the stuff you buy at the store!
