It’s so wonderful to see the younger crowd get into DIY projects. Watching my kids use their right brain and work their creativity makes me so proud. When they’re putting something together, it’s always interesting to see how they’ll use different supplies and tools to make something new. My daughter and I really take advantage of our shared interest in crafting. We use it as a way to spend extra time together.

I’ve always been one to decorate our home for different holidays and celebrations. Now that Caitlin has taken a large interest in DIY projects, she never hesitates in giving me a hand. Oriental Trading: The Ultimate In Party, Décor and Craft Supplies
As a seasoned crafter, I have learned that a good “DIY” involves using (and knowing how to use) the right tools and supplies. This is why I turn to Oriental Trading for all of my crafting needs. The Oriental Trading Company started in the 1930’s as one of USA’s first wholesalers of novelties and gifts. Over the years, they grew exponentially and now offer hundreds of party products to a wide range of customers.
Their crafting section on their website will make you want to take out your glue and scissors and get started on your next project. Caitlin and I have often turned to many of their ideas – they’re easy and fun to complete. Their supplies are of really great quality and we have used them to complete school projects, create new house decorations, make gifts, etc.
We grabbed several great items from Oriental Trading for our Halloween celebrations. I love this beautiful Black and White Table Runner. It looks great with the Spider Web Baskets we will fill with the candy to hand out to the little trick-or-treaters who come to the house. For our Halloween party, the Orange Chevron Snack Bowls are perfect!
I also love that they cover all sorts of holidays, parties and celebrations. My oldest daughter is getting married very soon so you can imagine how ecstatic I was to discover that they had an entire section dedicated to weddings.
