We loved the Scholastic book series, “The Magic School Bus.” Chelsea loved hearing about the fantastic adventures of Ms. Frizzle and her class.
The “The Magic School Bus” could turn into a plane, submarine, spaceship or even a surfboard! It was such a fun and interesting way to learn about science. I remember how excited we both got when “The Magic School Bus” could be seen on PBS. Now we could be transported visually! It is also hard to believe it has been 20 years since “The Magic School Bus” left television screens. But now, a sequel to the 1994 original, “The Magic School Bus Rides Again” is on Netflix!
In the new “The Magic School Bus Rides Again”, Lily Tomlin reprises her role as Miss Frizzle. Miss Frizzle has now become Professor Frizzle. She is passing the keys of the Magic School Bus over to her younger sister, Fiona Felicity Frizzle. Kate McKinnon plays her and she is fantastic!
The younger Frizzle will embark on new adventures with her class.These exciting new field-trips will take them to new locations. They will discover new creatures, time periods and more to learn about the wonders of science. Young viewers be taken on a ride as they learn.

It has the latest scientific knowledge and modern art style kids love. “The Magic School Bus Rides Again” makes learning science fun in a way that hasn’t no one has seen on TV in 20 years.
The class has all the same students, except for Phoebe who has gone back to her old school. In her place is a new girl named Jyoti. And they act as though they’re coming back from summer vacation. The last time “The Magic School Bus” was on tv there were still nine planets. People still had house phones with cords! So much has changed since the late 1990s. And a new generation of “The Magic School Bus” is exactly what we need.
You can watch “The Magic School Bus Rides Again” with your children right now on Netflix. Though the science may be correct anymore, Netflix also has the original show. They’re still fun to watch, but do make sure your kids know the science isn’t always right. The learning doesn’t end with the show though.
Netflix also offers learning packs for every “The Magic School Bus Rides Again” episode. They have more topics you can explore, and fun science experiments you can try together.
