We have a few, but one of our favorites is “A Christmas Story.”  It is such a classic and no matter how many times we watch it, we still laugh our heads off! If you have seen the movie, you probably remember how the neighbor’s dog eats the Christmas turkey. Ralphie and his family end of eating at a Chinese restaurant because there is nothing else open.

Well, the Hutchinson family has a tradition that is loosely based on that scene from the movie. The day after a holiday, we usually eat Chinese food at a local Asian restaurant. The past few years, we have had my daughter up from Atlanta. She loves my cooking, so we have not gone out for our usual take-out meal. We found we had just as much fun making a delicious Asian meal at home rather than go out. Heck, this way we get to stay home in our pajamas and watch our favorite movie!

It is always fun to take a family tradition and update it a bit as the times change. This is how we looked at our decision to make take-out at home instead of going out. Since we discovered the Ling Ling Asian Entrees we get from the frozen food section at our local Walmart. My husband teases that we have visited this section for these meals so often, our feet must be on auto-pilot by now. Yes, we eat these tasty meals that often!

To make my Baked Sticky Asian Chicken Wings, you will need to be sure to follow a few tips to ensure they are perfect! When you buy your wings, the wing and drumette will probably be connected. I used kitchen scissors to separate mine. After you rinse them, be sure to pat them dry. I like to cook mine for the majority of the baking time. I add the sauce at the very end so it doesn’t burn. You still get great flavor, trust me!

The day after a holiday, we eat restaurant take-out. This year, we are having my Baked Sticky Asian Chicken Wings and #LingLingAsianFood #dumplings #IC #ad @linglingfood
