Agility Trials: Have you heard of these? It is an obstacle course for pets which have tunnels, hurdles, balance beams, and climbing structures. You can make them at home and many dog parks are building them as well. They help with your dog’s agility, get rid of built up energy, and makes exercise fun. You can run along side your pet to encourage them and get yourself some exercise!

Animal Assisted Activities: Many hospitals and nursing homes have programs that allow pets to visit with the patients and residents. It has shown to boost moods and increase socialization. I worked in a hospital while in nursing school that utilized pet therapy. I wish I could express to you how much joy those pets brought to the patients as well as myself and the other nurses. I mean, who wouldn’t be happy with these two sweet boys snuggling with them?

Chew Time: Every pet needs to chew, no matter their age to keep their jaws strong and teeth clean.
