It happened!! We were running errands this past weekend and I had to turn the air on in the car! Weeeeee! OK, so I am a bit of a goofball, but I absolutely love summer. To me, summer is a few precious months I get to chill out and have fun with my family. Our summer is filled with hikes in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains, swimming and lots of cooking on the grill. My Favorite Summer Foods and Drinks
I know a lot of people enjoy grilling and munching on those chicken wings. I do not get it! Why waste your time on something with so little meat? Why not BBQ some nice chicken drumsticks for everyone? With my easy to make Honey Sriracha Grilled Chicken Drumsticks and the pretty Calypso Coral or Lagoon Blue summer inspired Rubbermaid products from Kroger, my summer entertaining is brought to a new level. When I saw the limited edition summertime colors in the Rubbermaid Pitcher, Party Platter, and Refill Reuse 20oz Bottles at my local Kroger, I had to grab all three! The Party Platter is perfect for my drumsticks, celery and carrots and it even has a container for our ranch dip! Because my Honey Sriracha Grilled Chicken Drumsticks have a little kick to them, I always make a pitcher of strawberry lemonade. The kids love the fresh fruit I add to their favorite drink. What a refreshing beverage on those warm summer days and nights, right? When we are on the way to the park, the pool, on a hike in the mountains or even when I am at the gym, the Refill Reuse 20oz Bottles are absolutely perfect!
Honey Sriracha Grilled Chicken Drumsticks

So, to make my popularly tasty Honey Sriracha Grilled Chicken Drumsticks, all you need is a few ingredients. I am able to easily find what I need from my local Kroger. For the marinade, you need:
- 3 Pounds of chicken drumsticks
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons Sriracha chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the best results, I recommend marinating the drumsticks overnight. If you don’t have the time, try and keep them in a sealed container with the marinade for at least 2 hours. When we cook drumsticks or big chicken breasts on the grill, I will bake them in the oven at 400 for about 30 minutes. Then, take them out and transfer them to the grill for an additional 5-7 minutes on each side.
Serving Your Food Like A Boss
When you have your Honey Sriracha Grilled Chicken Drumsticks made, transfer them into your Rubbermaid Party Platter (available in limited edition summer colors Calypso Coral and Lagoon Blue) from Kroger. I serve them with some celery and carrot sticks with some ranch dressing in the smaller, leak-proof inner container for dipping.
