This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine. My daughter Caitlin graduated from high school this May. We could not have been more proud of her accomplishments. And to sweeten the story, she is college bound this fall. She will be the 3rd person in our family to ever attend college. The other two were my oldest daughter in 2009 and myself in 2011. To celebrate the occasion, we wanted to take her and the rest of our family out for a memorable meal.
When I asked Caitlin where she wanted to eat, she immediately said The Hard Rock Cafe Pigeon Forge! We have been fans of the Hard Rock chain for more than 20 years! We took my oldest, Chelsea to the Hard Rock Cafe Orlando when she was five. She sang and danced throughout the entire meal! On a trip to Atlanta, our hometown, we took the gang to the Hard Rock Cafe Atlanta. I will never forget the whole table standing up and dancing to Y.M.C.A. Hilarious!
If you have not been to a Hard Rock location, you need to remedy that ASAP! The kids and I are huge music buffs, so when we are at the Hard Rock, we are in heaven! Each location boasts an impressive music memorabilia collection.
You can find clothing, guitars, drums and other items used and donated by music legends. You will feel like family the moment you enter the building. The host staff is so upbeat and friendly! We waited less than 5 minutes for our table. No problem! It gave us time to visit the Hard Rock shop!
Henry wanted me to tell you his joke. He said if you are looking for memorabilia that is “Hard” Rock, they have an item. He thinks you would love this leather jacket from Megadeath. That is his favorite “Hard” rock band. Silly boy! But it was cool to see. One of the hosts allowed us to go behind the ropes to examine the jacket and get a closer look. The jacket is also signed by all the band members!
So, lets talk about the food! Hard rock may have a reputation for it’s rock and roll theme, but the food is where it’s at! We ordered an appetizer for the table. The Jumbo Combo, gives you a taste of several of their most popular appetizers. It includes their signature wings, onion rings, and Tupelo chicken tenders. You also get their Southwest spring rolls and bruschetta. It comes with homemade honey mustard, hickory barbecue and blue cheese dressings. There was plenty for our party of six to sample.
Next, we ordered our main dishes. It is tough to narrow down your decision are there are so many choices. Caitlin and my husband both had the Twisted Mac and Cheese, which is Amazeballs! They toss Cavatappi macaroni in a three-cheese sauce with roasted red peppers. It is topped with Parmesan parsley bread crumbs and grilled chicken breast. It also comes with garlic bread. My husband substituted their Smokehouse pulled pork for the grilled chicken breast. It was a wise choice!
I decided to have a salad. Again, so many choices make it difficult to decide. I finally asked our server for help. She said the Southern Salad was the way to go. So happy for her suggestion. It was hands down, the best salad I have ever had. It includes fresh field greens and kale. They are tossed in a cider vinaigrette. It is garnished with vine-ripened tomatoes, bacon, and roasted corn. You also get pecans and a sliced hard boiled egg. Their Southern fried chicken, is the best I have ever had. Seriously good! The tangy barbecue drizzle is a nice addition.
Henry and my mother-in-law chose the Hard Rock Legendary® Burgers. Each of their fresh half-pound burger is made with the highest quality Certified Angus Beef®. The blend is created especially for Hard Rock. it is grilled medium well and served on fresh brioche bun with seasoned fries. Henry loves the fries so much, he asked for more! My sister-in-law Robin chose the New York Strip Steak. This was the juiciest steak ever! The 12-oz steak is seasoned and fire-grilled. It is topped with herb butter and served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes. It also comes with seasonal vegetable.
I recommend you save room for dessert! I decided on the Cheesecake, made with Oreo® cookie pieces. It is creamy, moist and flavorful cheesecake. The generous portion of Oreo® cookies which are baked into the cheesecake and the decadent Oreo® cookie crust. The slice is so big, you cannot help but share! Robin decided on the homemade apple cobbler. Thick apples are baked in a variety of spices. It is served warm with vanilla ice cream. On top comes walnuts and GHIRARDELLI® caramel sauce. Oh.Em.Gee!
You cannot leave the Hard Rock without one of their signature glasses! Caitlin ordered a chocolate milkshake. It is made with BBen & Jerry’s® ice cream. It is served in a souvenir 23 oz. hurricane glass. When you are ready to leave, you just take your glass to the bar and they will give you a fresh glass, in a Hard Rock box. Don’t you love Caitlin on her phone?! Typical teen, right?!
