Easy Homeade Gifts For Teachers

When the kids were in school, my husband and I volunteered quite a bit.  After being a chaperon, PTA chair, office help and baker, we gained an appreciation for the teacher’s and their dedication. Every year the kids make their teacher something special.

One of our favorites was a Simple Crayon Vase Craft which is one of my favorte easy homemade gifts for teachers. It is kid friendly and will only set you back about $5!

Let your kids show their favorite teacher how much they appreciate them by making this cute and affordable Simple Crayon Vase Craft

I love to give back in any way I can, even if just in a small way. The kids and I love to make homemade gifts for their teachers and principal. This year, we decided to make this really cute and clever Simple Crayon Vase Craft . It is so easy to make, very affordable and the end result is super cute.

Teacher Appreciation Crayon Vase Craft supplies

All you need to make your Simple Crayon Vase Craft is:

  • A small vase (we got ours from the Dollar store)
  • 48 Crayons (you may need less or more, depending on the size of your vase)
  • A glue gun or glue dots
  • Ribbon

Teacher Appreciation Crayon Vase Craft step 1

Step 1: Attach a glue dot, or a small dab of the glue gun onto each crayon. Line up the crayon with the bottom of the vase. Repeat until you have covered the whole vase.

Teacher Appreciation Crayon Vase Craft ribbon

Step 2: Cut a length of ribbon to fit around the vase and tie a bow. Fold it in half and make a crease. Attach a glue dot or spot of glue from the glue gun where you made the crease. This will keep the ribbon from slipping.

Step 4: Bring your ribbon around to the front and tie a bow. You may want to put a spot of glue on the sides if they seem to slip down. Now you are ready to fill your vase with some flowers or a nice succulent and give to your favorite teacher!

What a cute idea! I have a friend who’s a teacher, and from some of the stories I hear, any teacher definitely deserves something like this.

Great idea for an elementary school teacher appreciation gift, you could even leave one side open and put a picture of your child there too! (I was a Special Ed Teacher many moons ago!)
