My sister Ronni and I recently went into business together. It has been great to have her here almost everyday. We were recently talking about my mom’s joint replacement surgery.
I told her I was considering having hip replacement surgery. I have good and bad days, but the good days are getting fewer and fewer. I found I can’t travel, participate in our yearly mud run or walk our dog Elvis. That is when she shared she has had issues with her knees for about 5 years now.
Ronni is on her feet several hours a day, just like our mom was. She said she had been thinking about joint replacement surgery as well. It was a shock to know she and I were having the same type of pain, but in different joints. She told me her knee pain was affecting her performance at her job.
Ronni found she couldn’t stand for long periods of time and if she bent down, she had trouble getting up without help. She also couldn’t hunt antiques, hike or go bowling like she used to. Not only was out mobility affected by joint pain, but so was our personal relationships.
That is when we had a long talk about having joint replacement surgery. I shared with her how I had decided to Hit Play on my life! I told her she could take action and Hit Play too!! We went to the website and looked over all the information!
My sister was excited she could find an experienced doctor in our area she could talk to about her knee pain. She learned she and her doctor could talk about all the options she had, including joint replacement surgery. Are you experiencing joint pain and need to talk to a doctor? You can visit the Hit Play website for more information. If you are experiencing joint pain, don’t you think it’s TimeToHitPlay?
