hen I was growing up, I loved to go on a family picnic. Mom would make fried chicken, potato salad, cake, and my favorite deviled eggs. When I was old enough, she taught me how to make bacon and cheddar cheese deviled eggs.
How To Make Bacon And Cheddar Cheese Deviled Eggs
Mom made traditional deviled eggs, but I loved it when she would play with ingredients in her deviled eggs. With six kids, it was hard to please everyone, but somehow she always pulled it off!
A Super Easy Recipe To Make
It is super easy how to make bacon and cheddar cheese deviled eggs. The trick is how to how to boil and peel the perfect egg. First, make sure the pot is large enough to accommodate all the eggs you want to boil. If they stack on top of each other, they won’t cook properly.
I add 1/4 cup of cooking oil, 1/4 cup of vinegar and 1-2 tablespoons of salt to the pot. Next, I add carefully place the eggs in the pot. Be sure to add enough water to completely submerge the eggs.
An Important Step In The Process
Bring the water to a boil, then turn the heat down to medium-high. Boil for 12 minutes, and remove the pot from the burner. Allow to cool and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Rolling And Filling
Now for the peeling! Place your egg onto a clean surface and roll forward and backward. a few times. The shell will peel right off. Now cut the eggs in half, lengthwise.
When it comes to the filling, I feel it is the star of the show. To get that creamy texture, I use a hand mixer. This also makes it easier to pipe the mixture into the egg whites.
